The primary purpose of this role is to deliver functional business analyst support for HR and payroll application systems. The incumbent will analyze technology and process changes, provide help‑desk assistance, and act as a liaison among HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders.
Key duties involve identifying, evaluating, and implementing cost‑effective system enhancements, leading requirements gathering, system testing, implementation, and training. Additional responsibilities include creating custom reports and queries, managing project scope and budgets, and addressing user questions to recommend improvements in HR, payroll, and benefits.
The position requires ownership of design reviews, testing, and implementation planning, as well as tracking project budgets ranging from $50,000 to $250,000. Work is performed with minimal supervision while coordinating across multiple functional teams.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field or Information Systems, or possess 6‑9 years of relevant experience. At least four years of functional experience supporting HR/payroll systems, strong project‑management abilities, and excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Preferred qualifications include experience with workforce‑management or payroll technologies such as Infor WFM, Workbrain, Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll, or Kronos, as well as capabilities in system configuration, product upgrades, and basic programming languages like SQL, Java, or Python.
