Construction - Assistant Finishing Manager

Description

The position supports project delivery by meeting agreed time, cost and quality targets, coordinating with all relevant parties, and providing research, analysis and record‑keeping to ensure accurate information for project management operations. It involves direct or indirect management of external consultants and contractors to achieve key performance indicators, and the independent handling of small project components under the supervision of a PM or SPM.

• Assist the project team in delivering objectives according to the project plan
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and wellbeing standards at all project stages
• Collaborate with stakeholders and maintain robust quality systems
• Attend and record meetings, conduct site walks and provide contextual analysis
• Partner with stakeholders on risk management and mitigation treatments
• Track project changes and ensure they are processed within agreed timeframes
• Prepare handover documentation prior to practical completion
• Collect information, conduct research and update project plans, processes and procedures
• Utilise Mace’s Centre of Excellence knowledge base, The Mace Way control centre and best‑practice resources
• Support net‑zero carbon transition by identifying and managing associated emissions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• Relevant field experience
