Tasks

-Contribute new designs, or techniques that are of material significance in the solution of important problems. -Ensure conformance with standards, established architectural practices, applicable codes, and technical adequacy of design and construction. -Use computer software as a design tool for solving complex architectural problems. -Develop design details, plans and specifications. -Leads teams of architects and designers and takes overall responsibility for portions of large projects or entire small projects. -May exercise own judgement in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. -Determine collectively with multiple design disciplines, the technical approach and design criteria for projects. -Works on complex issues that impact major projects where analysis of architectural design requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. -May participate in presentations to clients and may represent the organization as an external spokesperson. -Work with architectural staff under architectural lead in a team

What You Bring

-Remain current in codes and technologies appropriate to the architecture discipline including IBC, NFPA, etc. -Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam Revu a plus. -0+ years of relevant experience is required. -Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner. -Transit Architecture design experience including station and related facilities is preferred but not required. -Experience in Rhino, 3-D Max, Sketch-up is a plus and LEED Accreditation is also a plus. -Professional Degree in Architecture (B. Arch, BA, and/or M. Arch). -Excellent design, technical detailing, and strong presentation skills, both verbal and visual, are essential. The candidate should be a self-starter with a passion for problem-solving, an understanding that project success comes through teamwork, and a firm focus on client needs.
