Communications Engineer

• Working closely with our drafting team on project documentation
• Supporting senior consultants’ projects

Requirements

We are seeking a technically proficient candidate with consulting experience in the construction industry, ideally from an engineering background and preferably from an engineering consultancy. The role involves working on commercial fit-outs, education, and health sector projects, with a primary focus on audio visual and communications consulting.

• Excellent record-keeping and communication tracking
• Learning to manage project finances and resourcing hours under supervision
• Strong ability to interpret client and senior leader expectations and define them technically
• An engineering degree (required)
• Audio Visual Design: Video conferencing systems, meeting room and collaboration spaces, audio systems, lecture theatres, and presentation spaces
• Goal-oriented, with strong deadline management
• Prior consulting experience (minimum 1–2 years preferred)
• Exposure to varied high-profile projects & clients across building services
• Excellent report writing and analytical skills
• Excellent multitasking and responsiveness to emails, messages, and calls
• Communications/ICT: Structured cabling design (copper, fibre, racking equipment), distributed antenna systems, liaison with telecommunications carriers, and WiFi modelling
