Tasks
-Lead the design and management of civil engineering projects within the transportation, municipal, and government sectors -Oversee all technical, quality, financial, and safety aspects of projects from conception through construction -Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes -Participate in professional development activities to stay current with industry advancements -Apply effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills when developing proposals, negotiating project contracts, preparing technical reports, leading project team meetings, and delivering client presentations -Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices -Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively -Mentor and develop less experienced team members by sharing knowledge and professional experiences -Work alongside Civil, Water Resources, Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural professionals to deliver multi-discipline projects -Develop project plans, specifications, and cost estimates -Provide technical guidance and oversight on projects involving streets/roadways, sidewalks, cycling infrastructure, utility infrastructure, stormwater management, and public parks -Ensure designs are efficient, sustainable, and meet community needs -Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders -Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment

What You Bring
-Previous business development experience demonstrated by a track record of securing new project opportunities -Minimum of 10- 20 years of technical design experience with municipal and/or transportation projects including roadway design, vehicular and/or pedestrian access, site grading, pollution control, and stormwater management -Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record -Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) reviews for civil projects -Prior management and design experience for renewable energy (solar and/or wind) infrastructure -Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop less experienced professionals with an emphasis on technical design standards, quality control, and/or project management practices -Experience and understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D used to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs -Minimum of 5 years of experience managing multi-disciplined projects; strong working knowledge of the project development process including coordination with other disciplines during design and construction -Experience working with regulatory agencies, and knowledge of the permit application process with FEMA, DOT, DNR, and state / local government entities -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering -Professional registration in additional states with a preference of Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Iowa -Prior management and design experience for private utilities / industrial developers
