The Civil Engineer Project Manager leads a team of planners, designers, and staff to turn client visions into built reality. This role combines client liaison, civil design, and team leadership, providing flexibility and support to own TAIT projects. We promote work‑life balance with remote, hybrid, or in‑person schedules.
The manager assists the Director with marketing and client development, defines design criteria, and oversees efficient plan preparation. Responsibilities include solving design problems, establishing project controls, ensuring technical quality, profitability, schedule adherence, and coordinating staff and client communications. They also lead plan processing with public agencies, develop proposals, negotiate scopes and fees, manage billing, and mentor junior design staff.
Candidates must hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a current California PE license. Minimum 5–7 years of experience in technical, project management, and staff interaction roles is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for grading, drainage, streets, sewers, storm drains, and utilities, plus strong design, leadership, communication, and organizational skills, is essential.

The position offers a salary range of $100,000 to $150,000 annually, along with a comprehensive compensation and benefits program.
