The Quantity Surveying – Database Manager will be responsible for leading the development, management, and integration of cost and revenue databases across NHC’s real estate portfolio. The role combines advanced quantity surveying expertise with database management, ensuring accurate cost analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support project feasibility, monitoring, and strategic decision-making.
- To lead the development and management of construction cost and revenue databases for NHC.
- To ensure accurate data integration across NHC systems, supporting project feasibility studies and cost control.
- To support the department in achieving KPIs by delivering timely and accurate cost data and management reports.
- To enhance NHC’s data-driven decision-making capabilities in real estate project development.

- High attention to detail and accuracy in figures.
- Must have a Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Creative problem-solver with the ability to think strategically.
- Experience in developing other Real Estate related databases.
- Skilled in extracting cost information from project BOQs and other sources, and collating this into user-friendly databases across NHC projects for feasibility, cost monitoring, and revenue control.
- Strong skills in advanced Excel, including creating bespoke financial and cost models.
- Experience in developing & managing construction cost/revenue databases.
- Knowledgeable in risk management, with experience in monitoring and controlling project risks.
- Familiar with IPMS – method of measurement for residential, commercial, and retail assets.
- RICS or similar certification (or working towards it).
- Experience in Quantity Surveying.
- Familiar with database systems including cloud storage, system integration, and data security best practices.
- Proficient in drafting management reports and developing PowerPoint presentations.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Experienced in drafting/developing BOQs as per RICS standards.
- Strong background in mapping & integrating/linking databases into other NHC systems (ERP, CRM, Excel, CostX, etc.).
- Proficient in measurement and taking-off quantities from drawings & specifications.
- PMP & Power BI certification are a plus.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining construction cost databases using proprietary software (e.g., Realx ERP).
- Strong understanding of Real Estate data structures.
- Must have worked previously with large-scale infrastructure and building construction companies, or registered cost consultants working on costs related to Real Estate assets.
- Proficient in English (reading & writing).
- MSc. Degree in Real Estate is a plus.
