Execute spending authority in such a way that supports the budget, and seeks cost saving opportunities
Assist maintenance personnel, when needed, in troubleshooting problems with equipment and systems. Encourage employees to solve problems on their own and to utilize all resources available to them (i.e., engineering, drawings, manuals etc.)
Direct maintenance personnel in the repair, restoration, installation and project management for site buildings, grounds, equipment, and machinery
Provide competent and timely engineering support for the correction of process equipment deficiencies, improvements in equipment and processes, installation of new or refurbished equipment, and facilities maintenance and improvements
Collaborate with the Engineering team to prepare capital requests. When appropriate lead teams, participate as a team member, or assume entire responsibility for projects from concept to implementation including design, justification, construction, purchase, installation, operation, and cost control. Follow-up after startup to insure proper operation and reliability. Adopt a “hands on” approach when necessary to ensure effective startup of new equipment and proper training of department and plant personnel.
