
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making adjustments as necessary
Collaborating with management to develop safety policies and procedures
Providing support and guidance to employees on safety-related issues
Developing and updating training materials in line with the latest safety standards and regulations
Conduct safety inspections and audits.
Schedule emergency safety drills throughout the year
Ensuring that all safety training records are maintained accurately and are up to date
Hold monthly training sessions with their internal employees at all levels
Update safety protocols, including new safety rules and guidelines
Train employees on fleet vehicle safety and heavy machinery
Manage and improve Safety Learning Management Platform (KPA)
This position will be responsible for monitoring and delivering safety training including powered industrial trucks, aerial lifts and earth moving equipment.
Proven experience in a safety-related training role
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals
Able to work effectively with minimum supervision and manage competing priorities; able to exercise sound judgment in making effective decisions
Minimum of 2 years working in a training environment.
Certifications such as Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) and Certified Safety and Health Official (CHSO) are highly desirable
Ability to develop and manage safety training programs
An associate degree in safety, occupational health, or a related field. Years of experience can be substituted for education requirement.
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in response to known deadlines and maintain a keen attention to detail
Knowledge of applicable safety laws, regulations, and standards
