  • Diagnose and repair faults in solar PV systems, including electrical and mechanical issues
  • Complete and submit detailed service reports, including work performed, parts used, and system performance data
  • Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including mounting panels, wiring electrical components, inverters, and configuring system settings
  • Verify that installations and repairs meet industry standards and manufacturer specifications
  • Support the Supervisor as part of a high-performance team of employees and contractors to achieve the expected outcomes of the plants
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices in solar PV systems, and participate in ongoing training as required
  • Supporting the daily to three-month operations and maintenance plan in alignment with the Supervisor's business plan through driving operational performance, achievement of business results, and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to a collaborative work environment within the team, peers, stakeholders, and support groups to ensure issues may be resolved in a professional and productive manner
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on solar installations to ensure optimal performance and address any issues that arise

  • Certification with NFPA70E or OSHA10/OSHA30 considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and irregular hours, as required
  • Experience with the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of solar inverters, and panel trackers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience, preference for 3+ years
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Solar PV installation, maintenance, or repair experience is an asset, relevant experience in electrical or mechanical fields is also acceptable
  • Understanding of contractor requirements, procurement processes, and inventory management
  • As this is a safety-sensitive position, successful completion of required pre-employment testing is a condition of employment
  • Understanding of the operational aspects of the plant - technical, compliance, and financial
  • Experience with high voltage (HV) and medium voltage (MV) systems, including safety procedures and maintenance practices
