Minister- Head Football Coach

Description

• Manages equipment, uniforms, facilities, and program budget.
• Attends and actively participates in a local evangelical church.
• Promotes a culture rooted in teamwork, discipline, character, and Christ-like behavior.
• Recruits, supervises, and evaluates assistant coaches.
• Mentors student-athletes spiritually, academically, and athletically.
• Leads and oversees all aspects of the high school football program, including varsity and sub-varsity teams.
• Mentors and guides coaching staff and players to foster skill development, teamwork, and Sportsmanship.
• Ensures compliance with school policies and state athletic association regulations.
• Acts as a positive Christian role model, promoting values and ethics both on and off the field.
• Develops and implements a comprehensive year-round program (practices, off-season training, conditioning, camps).
• Supports the LMCM Mission by making disciples of Jesus Christ through community.
• Fosters positive communication with athletes, parents, administration, and staff.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of football strategy, player development, and safety protocols.
• Experience in strength and conditioning programming.
• Strong understanding and commitment to Christian values.
• Prior head coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level.
• Teaches football fundamentals, schemes, game planning, and sportsmanship.
• Must meet all background check requirements.
• Agrees with and actively supports the LMCM Statement of Faith.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Teaching certification or ability to fill a full-time teaching position.
• Demonstrated success in program growth, player development, and spiritual leadership.
• Shows evidence of the fruit of the Holy Spirit in interactions with people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead, mentor, motivate, and build relationships with student-athletes and coaching staff.
• Previous experience in coaching football (Head Coach, Coordinator, or equivalent).
• Demonstrates spiritual flourishing through personal disciplines of prayer, Bible study, and
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
