The Supervisor, Construction will manage the construction and colocation process to deliver quality sites that meet customer specifications, budgets, and schedules. This role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising field employees and subcontractors, while acting as the on‑site representative for the client and ensuring clear communication of all requirements.
Primary responsibilities include organizing material deliveries, equipment, manpower, and subcontractors to keep projects efficient and productive. The supervisor inspects job sites daily, enforces SBA and OSHA safety practices, conducts weekly safety meetings, and stops work immediately on unsafe conditions. They also monitor subcontractor performance, perform final inspections, resolve client issues, and provide daily status reports and project documentation.
In the supervisory capacity, the role works with Talent Acquisition to recruit, interview, and hire a diverse, high‑performing team. The supervisor coaches, mentors, and develops employees through onboarding, performance management, feedback, and career planning, while fostering an engaged culture aligned with SBA’s mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred) and at least one year of construction or equipment installation experience, preferably in wireless telecommunications. Candidates must hold a valid government‑issued driver’s license, with OSHA 10‑hour safety certification, CDL, and First Aid/CPR preferred, and be willing to travel and work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
The position requires physical ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 70 lb), climb, and work in extreme temperatures, humid or wet conditions, and at heights. Applicants for safety‑sensitive roles must pass a drug test after a conditional job offer.
