CDL Driver

Description

The driver will handle touch‑freight tasks that may involve lifting or moving loads over 75 lb, pre‑inspect the truck and verify load accuracy, and set up job parameters while ensuring a safe loading and unloading environment. Ongoing communication with the dispatcher is required to keep deliveries on schedule, and all DOT and company safety procedures, including wearing proper PPE, must be followed.

• Perform touch‑freight tasks, lifting or moving loads over 75 lb.
• Pre‑inspect truck, load materials, and verify load accuracy.
• Report potential site hazards to branch management.
• Set up job parameters and inspect loading/unloading sites for safety.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher for timely deliveries.
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures and wear required PPE.

Requirements

QXO is seeking a skilled CDL driver who values safety, service, and teamwork, and who wants to be home each night. In this role you will deliver building materials to job sites, operate top‑tier trucks, and represent the company with professionalism. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid Class A or B CDL in good standing, and have a minimum of 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience. Experience operating heavy equipment and manual‑transmission trucks, willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.
