What you would be doing

- Provide updates on performance of accounts & provide regular updates on issues & sales ledger performance, including action plans for difficult/ doubtful debts.
- To ensure correct procedures & processes are in place and to continually develop and review.
- Interaction with Intermediary with regards to credit risk tracking where required
- Escalate serious issues to the Collections Manager for review.
- Interacting with people: Establishing relationships with various teams across the business.
- Debit management and collection of broker/ client accounts.
- Monitor cash allocation and propose corrective action on un-allocated accounts.
- Daily maintenance & management of departmental emails & system generated tasks.
- Maintaining close working relationships with other internal departments.
- Responsible for Credit Control activity ensuring processes are followed in a timely way with actions recorded.
- To ensure queries are maintained daily and resolved within the agreed timeframe.
- To develop effective regular communication links with stakeholders
- Manage a high-level workload and pick up any ad hoc activity/ projects to support the department.

- Good MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, & basic pivot tables)
- Customer focused with the ability to influence others.
- Good spoken & written skills
- Agile/Hybrid working
- At least 3 years’ experience within collections and credit control
- Experience within collections & receivables or office administration
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and written.
- An understanding of the FCA Guidelines
- Aviva Digital GP
- Attention to detail, self-motivated & enthusiastic
- Initiative: Innovative approach to problem solving, anticipating opportunities and the ability to question/challenge existing methods and approaches.
- Experience working in a finance environment
- Excellent organisational skills
