What you would be doing

Identify and implement innovative design methods, technologies, and tools (e.g., point cloud processing, BIM).

Manage design interfaces with clients, third parties, contractors, and project managers.

Lead and validate temporary works designs, including: - Pipe supports and crossings - Stopple pits, flumes, trench boxes - Ditch crossings, bogmats, and sheet-piled excavations.

Develop engineering calculations and design reports in accordance with BS, EN, and Eurocode standards.

Produce and review detailed 2D/3D design drawings and specifications for pipeline infrastructure and associated temporary works.

Ensure designs comply with CDM 2015 regulations and company SHEQ standards.

Support site teams with design change applications and resolve non-conformance issues.

Support the development of Design Risk Assessments (DRA) and ensure that residual risks are effectively communicated to the delivery teams.

Prepare and issue as-built drawings and records for client handover.

Participate in R&D initiatives related to pipeline integrity, temporary works, and digital construction.

Act as the technical lead for assigned projects, supervising junior engineers and CAD technicians.
