Tasks

-Supervises jobs by reviewing technicians’ work and maintaining records -The employee must occasionally climb ladders to access rooftop equipment for the purpose of developing quotations -Conducts performance reviews, and disciplines employees as necessary -Implements and evaluates area safety needs/requirements to provide feedback and recommendations -Documents work by ensuring that all paperwork for their team is done in a timely and efficient manner -Read, analyze, and interpret information -Reviews service profitability report on a monthly basis to identify services performing below targeted gross margins and identify problems or areas for improvement to initiate appropriate steps for implementation -Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and processes -Serves customers by meeting their technical needs either directly or through their Team Members -Guides team through identifying, analyzing, and quoting equipment repairs at customers’ locations -Write reports and business correspondence -Monitor and control manpower, tools, and vehicles to ensure efficient and effective use of all departmental resources -Effectively present information and respond to questions from internal/external clients -Supports HVAC field technicians by providing guidance and leadership -Translate detailed instructions into action items -Represents the company by serving as a direct customer contact -Participates in hiring, training, directing, and mentoring of team members -Leads safety culture by following company protocol and modeling best practices -Ensures technician development is addressed across their team -Plans, assigns, and directs work of team -Addresses internal/external complaints and resolves problems

-Technological proficiency to include Microsoft Office products -Professional appearance -Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends (as needed) -Exhibit leadership skills and talent to help drive the businesses growth and the growth of our field -Adapt to individual and team work environment -Infrequent overnight travel may be required -Ability to deal diplomatically and communicate effectively with internal and external customers -Valid driver’s license -Ability to maintain urgency, but remain calm when dealing with emergencies -Problem solve using data and analytics -Five – 10 years’ experience at the HVAC Technician level -Use of tools and technology -Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning -The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds -Strong interpersonal skills, achievement oriented, self-motivated, and organized -Must have in-depth knowledge of various HVAC products, systems, electronics, and pneumatic controls
