Engineering Technology System Analyst

The Engineering Technology System Analyst will play a key role in advancing technology and innovation across the Engineering Solutions Unit within the Port Authority’s Engineering Department. This position will provide technical leadership, system support, and strategic insight to ensure seamless integration and optimization of engineering software, hardware, and cloud-based platforms.

Working closely with the Technology and Cybersecurity teams, the Analyst will assess new applications, manage existing systems, and deliver expert support for Autodesk, Bluebeam, and other engineering tools critical to project delivery. This is a part-time position intended to support ongoing technology initiatives as the work order nears completion.

• Coordinate software rollouts and upgrades, customizing features to meet engineering requirements.
• Generate Power BI reports and analytics dashboards to track software usage and system performance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for engineering staff.
• Support Azure Data Lake storage management and assist with Engineering Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) initiatives.
• Deliver user training sessions and internal “Knowledge Bar” presentations to promote best practices.
• Administer and support engineering software including Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam Revu, Revit, Leica Cyclone Enterprise, Base Map Management Service (BMMS), NearMap, and Esri ArcGIS Pro.
• Evaluate and test new hardware and software technologies for functionality, compatibility, and cybersecurity compliance.
• Troubleshoot software issues and implement minor enhancements to improve system functionality.
• Collaborate with senior management to align technology strategies with engineering project objectives.

• Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Bluebeam Revu and Adobe Acrobat Pro for PDF workflows and collaboration.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) sector, supporting AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in engineering document management and project information systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Prior experience working with large public agencies or utilities.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud Technologies for data storage and system maintenance.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
• Hands-on experience supporting Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) groups for engineering projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
• Advanced experience managing 3D scanned point cloud data and engineering data workflows.
