- Develop memorandums and other written technical documents.
- Assist with the budgetary planning process and provides technical expertise and analysis for the Capital Improvement Program.
- Perform construction oversight and administration. Assure conformance with plans and specifications and advises appropriate personnel of variances needing correction.
- Assist with analyses for technical reports and grants.
- Assist with review plans, specifications, and review of permit applications.
- Interact with the residents to respond to inquiries and aid in developing solutions related to their concerns.
- Maintain detailed project documentation.
- Participate in meetings internal engineering team, Village officials, various agencies, and contractors.
- Provide technical support in various stages of project, including preliminary design, final design and contract documentation including cost estimates and specifications.
- Support the Village's MFT program.
- Assist with the management and coordination of outside regulatory agency permits.
- Conducts site investigations.

- A valid driver's license is required.
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
- Excellent customer service skills, strong written and oral communication skills, and good time-management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Experience with a municipal government is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering, applicable laws and regulatory codes relevant to assigned area of responsibility, prepare understand and interpret engineering construction plans, specifications and other contract documents.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience, with increasing responsibilities in a municipal engineering environment.
- PE licensure required
- Experience in conducting research including gathering data, analyzing information, preparing reports, and making formal presentations.
- Supervisory experience preferred
