Develop and manage project budgets and schedules.
Develop project phasing and scheduling.
Assist with the training and developing of engineering intern staff and technicians as needed.
Design of Airfield projects including runways, taxiways, aircraft parking aprons, fuel systems, and NAVAIDs.
Prepare preliminary and final engineering reports and feasibility studies.
Design of concrete and asphalt pavements.
Provide assistance and develop construction cost estimates and perform quality control reviews.
Develop specifications and final design of projects.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies, including the FAA, state aviation officials, and other state and local regulatory agencies.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
0-5 years of civil engineering design experience on transportation projects; aviation project experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Current Engineer Intern Certificate or licensure as a Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia (or ability to obtain).
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
Must be capable of effective oral and written communication; work in a team-oriented manner, and possess analytical and organizational skills.
