The Facilities Professional role is part of S&ME’s Shared Services team and is responsible for shaping the work environments where employees collaborate and innovate. The position can be based at any of the company’s locations within its footprint.
In this role you will partner closely with operational leaders to provide clear updates on lease status, facility needs, and upcoming projects. You will identify and evaluate potential properties, support strategic real‑estate decisions, and work with Legal and the Facilities Manager to review leases, agreements, and financial models. Managing vendor relationships, overseeing services, reviewing invoices, and ensuring high‑quality support are also key responsibilities, as is handling daily facility operations such as service tickets, office moves, documentation, and onsite project travel.
The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly organized and thrives in a fast‑paced environment where multiple priorities must be balanced. Familiarity with general construction, building systems, and facility‑management tools, a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance, and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset are essential.
Qualifications include a high school diploma (an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus) and at least six years of relevant experience in facilities, real estate, property or construction management. Experience with CAD or BIM for space planning is advantageous, as are excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to collaborate with internal and external partners, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel. The role requires moderate travel and the physical ability to lift 40‑50 lb.
