  • Share technical expertise with others and provides guidance and support
  • Foster strong, mutually beneficial working relationships with Operations, SSO staff, Creative Services, Geographic Sales, GBS, and Sales Enablement teams both locally and across the network
  • Produce work that meets quality and brand requirements
  • Offer suggestions to leadership for improvements/additions and lessons learned to streamline processes, procedures, tools/databases, and function of SSO
  • Monitor and hold self to proposal schedule
  • Enhances company image/brand on deliverables
  • Apply technical expertise gained through extensive experience on a broad range of projects
  • Identify and implement creative solutions to challenges; escalate to leadership as necessary
  • Evaluate and resolve problems independently by applying appropriate solutions and applies lessons learned to future efforts
  • Safeguard and implement company image/branding on all proposal assignments
  • Works within firm branding templates and guidelines
  • With no supervision, collaborates with Sales team members by creating templates and formatting qualification statements, proposals, presentations, and other business development/sales deliverables
  • Voices concerns and ideas to proposal teams so that document is of the utmost quality and compliance to Jacobs and client standards; offers ideas for improvements or visual appeal
  • Follow Jacobs health/safety and ethical policies, procedures, and guidelines; and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Manages multiple project assignments at a time, sets priorities, manages time, and organizes work according to best practices
  • Actively follow SSO procedures, policies, protocols, and best practices, including standard file management and archiving procedures, as well as Branding Guidelines
  • Follow and champion Jacobs best practices using standard tools and processes
  • Mentors junior and/or new team members in technical area

  • 6+ years of publishing (electronic and/or reprographics) experience (or equivalent)
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • Keen eye for detail to ensure document is compliant and to provide proofreading for accuracy, consistency, etc
  • Experience in hard deadline environment.
  • Expert knowledge of processes and technical concepts required for role
  • Possess understanding of objectives and services provided by the firm
  • Previous experience working in A/E/C industry
  • Advanced understanding of business objectives and services provided
  • Software training in Microsoft products
  • Integrates project management skills with expert technical knowledge
  • Advanced proficiency and creativity in creating and styling tables, charts, text boxes, simple graphics
  • Must be able to coordinate and collaborate with team members in remote locations, in different time zones
  • Expert at setting up a Jacobs branded master document with styles per client specifications in RFP, including margins, headers/footers, font size and style, paragraph spacing, etc
  • Understand firm branding concepts and instructs others
  • Expert proficiency in desktop publishing software, Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat; some proficiency in specialized applications such as Adobe InDesign
