Document construction site activities and identify and monitor deficiencies.
Prepare preventative maintenance site visit logs and reporting.
Assist senior staff in the production of project plans, specifications, scheduling, budgeting, technical memorandums, and cost estimates.
Assist senior staff with construction management tasks such as material submittal reviews and coordination with Contractors.
Conduct railway fuel station visual preventative maintenance inspections across Canada and oversee petroleum contractors.
Be involved in Mechanical and Civil Engineering-related project aspects, including studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Projects may include planning, modeling, and design of facilities such as water and wastewater treatment plants, lift stations, pump stations, utilities (water transmission, gravity sanitary sewer mains, force mains, etc.), hydraulics and hydrology, drainage design, site plans, roadway, and other miscellaneous civil design projects.
Engineering site inspections on industrial construction projects for quality control and adherence to engineering design specifications.
Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections, and assist with data collection, compilation, and assessment for infrastructure projects.
Use AutoCAD to prepare civil and mechanical-related plans and drawings.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, cities/clients, and other public agencies.

Understanding of petroleum fuel stations, specifically within the railway industry.
Demonstrated success in achieving scope, schedule, and budget goals.
Must be flexible, well organized, accountable, and dependable.
2-4 years of related experience.
Active Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) certification with ASET/OACETT, or in the process of completing.
Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Ability to execute engineering best practices for engineering projects for a wide variety of clients, adapting to new environments quickly.
Experience using computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents (examples include software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and GIS)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
