What you would be doing

Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
Perform field investigations and collect data for substation and distribution projects.
Prepare permit packages and coordinate with regulatory agencies.
Support long-term work orders assigned by substations, with projects spanning several months.
Develop detailed asset designs using AutoCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, and Duke-specific platforms.
Maintain and update asset records in Duke’s systems.
What you bring

Experience or knowledge in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Design.
Familiarity with power system design, including substation and distribution design.
Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering is preferred, but not required if the candidate has strong hands-on experience.
Knowledge of Duke-specific platforms like BOUD, SEDs, and SolidWorks.
Proficiency in design and drafting software, including AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Ability to perform field engineering tasks and data collection.
