Developing work packages and procurement specifications
Implement and enforce quality control measures to monitor and evaluate the performance of engineering activities
Leading project controls reporting
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to identify project requirements, resolve conflicts, and ensure customer satisfaction
Ensure compliance with review and maintain department process and procedures including relevant safety regulations, industry codes, and project specifications

Coordinating with OEMs for engineered equipment
Managing all field engineering activities and resolving technical issues
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess project progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with quality standards
Resolve complex technical issues, offering innovative solutions to address challenges and optimize project performance
Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development
Supporting estimating, subcontract management, and active procurement contracts
Ensuring all work meets project specifications and schedules
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders
Developing and managing change orders
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of field engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as design engineers, procurement, and construction personnel, to ensure seamless project execution
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans, including engineering strategies and schedules
Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and expertise
Support preconstruction teams with review and development of proposal documents

Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail
Proven experience (10+ years) in industrial construction, with a focus on field engineering and project management
Possess a deep understanding of industrial construction processes, techniques, and equipment to provide technical guidance and troubleshooting to include all project management software
Strong leadership abilities with previous experience in managing teams
In-depth knowledge of industrial construction practices, codes, regulations, and industry standards
Ability to mentor and train personnel to develop a pipeline of candidates for project management career opportunities
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address technical challenges
Project experience should include multiple projects with significant subcontractor involvement
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in construction software, project management tools, and a working knowledge of AutoCAD or other design software
Project experience should include projects from $5M up to $100M+
Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management. Advanced degree preferred
Experience in Power Generation and/or Oil, Gas and Chemical project construction is preferred
Experience in Pulp & Paper, Heavy Industrial construction are an asset
Strong organizational abilities to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
