  • Develop innovative and cost effective mechanical designs using plant standard procedures, engineering knowledge and experience.
  • Work with designer and manufacturing engineers, follow the manufacturing and assembling process, employ problem solving skills to resolve issues encountered.
  • Building Customer Loyalty Effectively meeting customer needs; building productive customer relationships; taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Perform related engineering calculations by using the Mathcad.
  • Continuous Learning Actively identifying new ideas for learning; regularly creating and taking advantage of learning opportunities; using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job and learning through their application.
  • Contributing to Team Success Actively participating as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals.
  • Do design calculations, design reviews, develop test plans & execute product validation tests in test lab with the help of testing team
  • Liaise with production plant during build process
  • Engineering change management with internal departments
  • Work with team and technical leads to build concept designs & develop final design for NPD & VA/VE programs.
  • Work Standards Setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.
  • Work on product design and development activities.
  • Create & Review of 3D models, assemblies, drawings and BOM
  • Continuous Improvement Originating action to improve existing conditions and processes; identifying improvement opportunities; generating ideas, and implementing solutions.
  • Responsible for quality, OTD and efficiency on design and drawing outputs
  • Interact with global engineering teams on technical and project management activities
  • Initiating Action Taking prompt action to accomplish objectives; taking action to achieve goals beyond what is required; being proactive.
  • Work independently or as a team member in the global engineering team
  • Managing Work Effectively managing one’s time and resources to ensure that work is completely efficiently.

  • Adaptability Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.
  • BE degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5-7 years of related working experience
  • Design knowledge in Gate Valves & Choke Valve will carry weightage.
  • Communication Clearly and succinctly conveying information and ideas to individuals and groups in a variety of situations; communicating in a focused and compelling way that drives others’ thoughts and actions. Engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
  • Knowledge of GD&T is essential.
  • Familiar with industry specifications such as API 6D,API 17D ASME Section VIII, etc. and able to interpret and apply as required
  • Able to work responsibly without close supervision individually or in team environment
  • Teamcenter Knowledge added Advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills for communicating thoughts and ideas
  • Ability to design and generate creative mechanical solutions; translate concepts and information into images; apply design principles, solve practical problems
  • Basic knowledge of FEA
  • A thorough knowledge of machine design, fluid mechanics, vibration, strength of material, metallurgy, ASME , API codes, and manufacturing processes.
