Initiates and leads team in close-out activities associated with the project.
Coordinates with project development teams to ensure follow up and communication with current and past clients and design teams.
Leads the project team to develop comprehensive project schedules by closely reviewing plan specifications or associated Request for Proposal.
Develops Project Managers to become proficient with the pre-construction process.
Travel to multiple jobsites throughout the week and depending on the project overnight stays may be required.
Oversees the budget process by updating required work to complete and current budget sections on a regular basis.
Communicates regularly with all involved parties regarding project plans, status of the project, upcoming activities, and open issues.
Participates in the pre-construction process and works with Engineering Managers to accomplish pre-construction activities.
Guides project teams to critically analyze potential risks and leads them in establishing a plan to eliminate or minimize the risks.
Oversees all aspects of project related meetings, including subcontractor progress meetings, Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings, and pre-installation meetings.
Directly supervises employees in the operations department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Veregy’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Assists in the development of strategy for transitioning leads to viable opportunities with assistance from the project development (project pursuit plan).
Leads the project teams to finish projects with minimal margin erosion through an efficient and effective close-out.
Ensures projects are executed safely.
Works directly with the Director of Operations to manage staffing and chargeability for assigned project(s).

15 + years’ Project Management experience, including budget management for $5 Million + contracts required.

10 years’ minimum experience running large and multiple projects required.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

10 years’ leadership experience in the construction industry or related field required.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in construction management, Engineering, or related field; or ten plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to coach, mentor and lead Project Managers and Site Superintendents.
Ability to write presentations, articles, routine reports, proposals, and correspondence.
Knowledge of Veregy’s services and processes is required which can be obtained through intellect, technical inclination, and dedication to gain such knowledge.
Ability to lead successful projects/project management team.
Ability to run project-related meetings, including Progress, OAC, and pre- installation meetings.
Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and staff.
Computer software proficiency including ProCore, Microsoft Project, Viewpoint, RS Means, Trimble Estimating and/or other job-related hardware and software applications that may be required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, business, professional, and technical documents.
