Cost Consultant – Cost and Commercial Assurance (CCA)

Description

• Suggest and support improvements to quantity surveying and commercial management processes.
• Build good relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to help deliver better outcomes and find opportunities for savings.
• Manage and administer NEC3/4 contracts, especially Options C and E, including changes, early warnings, and compensation events.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports to help keep projects within targets.
• Support the delivery of commercial and quantity surveying services for clients, from early cost planning to final account.
• Monitor team performance and make sure all work follows company and contract rules.
• Review and analyze project data to help clients make good decisions.

Requirements

• Practical knowledge and experience with NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, especially Options C and E.
• Professional qualification or working towards chartership (such as MRICS, RICS, or similar) is preferred.
• Strong skills in problem-solving, negotiation, finance, and numeracy.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.
• Experience working on infrastructure projects, especially in rail or mobility.
• Understand client goals in the rail and mobility sectors and provide advice to add value and manage risks.
• Experience in both pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying and commercial management.
