As a Transfer Station Supervisor you will ensure smooth and safe operations, leading a dedicated team to process waste correctly and keep the site compliant with all environmental and safety regulations, directly affecting the efficiency of our transfer operations and our sustainability goals.
You will oversee the receipt and processing of waste, manage operational staff, and uphold strict health, safety, and environmental standards. You will also ensure maintenance activities are carried out, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners in this hands‑on role.
To thrive in this role you need strong organisational skills and proven supervisory experience in a busy operational environment, guiding staff through daily tasks to ensure efficiency and safety.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is a working knowledge of Environment Agency and Health & Safety Executive legislation and the ability to accurately interpret technical data.
