Contracts and Commercial Lead

Description

The position is responsible for contract and commercial management within the IT space, working closely with senior IT leadership to establish and continuously improve strong commercial governance and practices. The role acts as a trusted advisor, gaining deep understanding of the IT cost base to support strategic decisions aligned with procurement policies.

• Manage IT contracts, ensuring obligations are documented, tracked, and reported.
• Create and execute commercial strategies for key IT suppliers, including benchmarking.
• Maintain contract guidelines and standards, ensuring security and data‑protection compliance.
• Negotiate new and existing IT contracts, focusing on key commercial terms.
• Oversee risk and issue management across all IT contracts.
• Build and run a supplier management framework with scorecards and improvement plans.
• Drive continuous process improvements using best practices and lessons learned.
• Contribute to strategy development, planning, and delivery oversight for the area.
• Lead and develop the team to meet KPIs and foster a continuous‑improvement culture.
• Support net‑zero carbon transition by identifying and managing emissions reductions.
