You will provide day‑to‑day leadership and operational management for a truck‑based HVAC heavy‑chiller service team, overseeing mechanics, support staff, and a multi‑million‑dollar revenue portfolio. Responsibilities include owning P&L performance, driving revenue growth and margin expansion, planning workforce capacity, and ensuring rigorous safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction through effective scheduling, dispatch, and quality control. You will also strengthen key customer relationships, partner with sales and technical leaders on service scopes and change orders, and track operational KPIs to remove blockers and improve outcomes.
As a hands‑on leader, you will conduct regular safety tailboards, ride‑alongs, and coaching sessions to reinforce best practices. You will use data to guide decisions, aligning workforce capacity with demand and proactively adjusting plans to meet branch commitments. Collaboration with Branch Service Managers, Customer Service agents, Technical Team Leads, and Operations will be essential to streamline handoffs and remove obstacles.
The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of chillers and a proven record of leading truck‑based HVAC field service teams, with responsibility for technician development, customer outcomes, and financial results. Strong leadership, coaching, and accountability skills in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment are required, along with financial acumen in budgeting, forecasting, and margin management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, service management systems, and digital tools, as well as excellent communication and a customer‑first mindset, are essential.
