We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to lead and support workplace safety and compliance initiatives within our manufacturing operations. The EHS Coordinator will implement safety programs, perform regular site inspections, conduct employee training, and ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations. This position plays a critical role in fostering a proactive safety-first culture across all departments.

  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records for inspections, training, and incident logs; prepare reports for management.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations for injuries, accidents, and near-misses; document findings and recommend preventive actions.
  • Develop & Implement Safety Programs: Create and enforce site-specific EHS policies to ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926 and company standards.
  • Promote Safety Culture: Engage employees and supervisors in proactive safety initiatives to reduce incidents and improve awareness.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Maintain all safety documentation, track EHS metrics, and prepare for internal and third-party audits.
  • PPE & Hazard Control: Ensure proper use, maintenance, and distribution of personal protective equipment.
  • Conduct Safety Inspections: Perform routine site inspections, identify potential hazards, and drive corrective action plans.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Support fire safety, first aid, and evacuation planning, ensuring readiness across the facility.
  • Training & Education: Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and specialized training (PPE, fall protection, hazard communication).

  • OSHA 30 (required), OSHA 510 or 511, CHST, or OHST (preferred)
  • Regular use of PPE (hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hearing protection).
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, RCRA, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or construction EHS, with proven record of program implementation and compliance.
  • Active presence on the manufacturing floor with exposure to noise, machinery, forklifts, chemicals, and moving equipment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, hazard recognition, and organizational abilities; proficient in documentation and training delivery.
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs as part of safety inspections and site walkthroughs.
