- Manages the day-to-day operations of company vehicle needs.
- Reviews traffic violation citations - provides approval for payment, or disputes when needed.
- Recommends and authorizes vehicle maintenance and repairs while supervising the work of employees involved in those functions.
- Handles general accounting tasks including invoice costing, and departments’ budgeting.
- Coordinates emergency repairs with outside vendors as needed.
- Safety Training: Complete all mandatory safety training sessions, including but not limited to hazard communication, emergency response, and safe equipment handling.
- Coordinates the outfitting, and branding of vehicles in the fleet.
- Ensures that the vehicles throughout the organization are maintained according to company policy and procedures.
- Ensures that the company vehicles meet environmental and safety laws, regulations, and rules that are relevant to their department.
- Manages accident reports, and insurance claims related to vehicle incidents.
- Manages a team of vehicle fleet technicians, ensures that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively.
- Manages vehicle licensure and registration.
- Manages the installation of GPS devices; maintains GPS fleet system platform up to date.
- Manages resources and talent to meet department objectives: Talent management from recruiting, hiring, performance assessment, manage improvement and implements disciplinary actions - up to terminations, when necessary.
- Conducts and documents routine fleet maintenance inspections; maintains detailed history and records of every vehicle in the fleet.
- Partakes on the onboarding process for new employees – runs background checks to issue clearance for new drivers and orders vehicles for new hires as needed.
- Outdoor fieldwork at restoration sites, which may include residential, commercial, or industrial properties. Duties may involve exposure to different weather conditions (sun, rain, snow, heat).
- Oversees the purchase of new vehicles; evaluates, and retires vehicles as needed.
- Oversees the work completed by vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Regulatory Requirements: Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
- Manages, negotiates, and approves service contracts.

- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- May include travel to and from job sites, requiring the use of company vehicles. Possibility of attending out-of-town training or conferences.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Required PPE may include gloves, masks, goggles, hard hats, and safety footwear. All employees must wear PPE as required for their specific roles and job site conditions.

- Physical Activities: Ability to perform tasks that require, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, climb, squat, crawl, lift above shoulder, reach, and twist.
- Visual Ability: requirement for clear vision (e.g., close work, computer use, eye hand coordination)
- Physical Clearance: Successfully complete a pulmonary function test, including a respirator fit test, to ensure their ability to safely utilize the designated respirator selected for the role.
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100lbs. with assistance.
- Knowledgeable in computer applications, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, and ability to navigate the internet to perform work-related searches.
- Machinery Operation: Capacity to operate machinery and tools as required by job tasks, which may involve fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills.
- Potential exposure to hazardous materials, chemicals, or contaminants specific to restoration work, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols and use of PPE.
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience managing vehicle fleet.
- Knowledge of vehicle systems, mechanics, and technology.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or relevant experience in fleet management.
- Emergency Procedures: Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures relevant to your specific job site, including evacuation routes, and emergency contacts.
- Repetitive Motions: Continuous repetitive motion and tasks involving L/R hand movement (computer/mouse), wrists, or arms (e.g., typing, data entry).
- Ability to apply research and analysis to decision-making.
- Sitting and Standing: Prolonged sitting or standing required (in office, driving and/or at job sites). Regular alternating between sitting and standing
- Reporting Safety Concerns: Ability to identify and immediately report any unsafe conditions, hazards, incidents or injuries to supervisors without fear of retaliation.
