Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining architecture artifacts such as Interface Control Documents, network and data flow diagrams, and system hosting diagrams. The architect translates operational requirements into logical and physical designs using DoDAF, models business processes to SQL/NoSQL data structures, and oversees an automated Configuration Management Database synchronized with the enterprise architecture repository. Additional duties involve applying IT Operations Management principles, implementing automated discovery for asset tracking, designing and managing Kubernetes/OpenShift environments, supporting cloud‑native microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and API‑driven integrations, as well as managing Git‑based code repositories and participating in Agile development cycles.
Candidates must be self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and possess strong oral and written communication skills. Required experience includes enterprise architecture documentation, CMDB/ITOM solutions, Kubernetes/OpenShift design, CI/CD pipeline implementation, API integration, and adherence to DoD cybersecurity practices. Technical proficiencies needed are Linux, networking, containers, scripting (Python, PowerShell), and SQL/NoSQL databases, with preferred expertise in Sparx EA, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), TOGAF, and relevant certifications. A bachelor's degree, at least five years of professional experience, U.S. citizenship, and eligibility for an active Secret clearance are required; the position is based in Fort Knox, Kentucky with potential telework.
