Development of job specific specifications independently for less complex projects
Assist with development of design standards.
Communicate design issues and solutions with the design team and Owner clients.
Perform calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
Works with and coordinates with architectural, interiors, and other engineering disciplines for coordination of the project
Independently perform Construction Administration duties including completing field observations reports, responding to RFIs, submittal reviews, and evaluating contractor change orders.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, Master’s degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of related work and/or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form concepts and ideas to a diverse audience of Architects, Engineers, and Owner clients effectively.
DSA and/or HCAI experience is a plus
Requisite knowledge and application of structural design codes, standards, and applicable building codes
Good driving record and valid driver’s license required.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively both independently and in team settings.
Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
Experience with navigating modeling software (Autodesk Revit)
Experience with general business software (Microsoft Office suite)
Professional Engineering license is required, Structural Engineering license is preferred
Federal project experience is a plus
Experience with industry standard Structural Engineering software (CSI, RISA, RAM, etc.)
Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
ASCE41 and retrofit experience is a plus along with non-linear analysis
Understand industry standard design processes and understanding of construction means and methods.
Strong knowledge of structural systems, seismic design, construction means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
