  • Identify & implement process improvements that increase output and reduce overall costs
  • Create templates and automated programs to transform data into visual tracking information
  • Support the overall continuous improvement projects of SPX at the Olathe manufacturing Plant
  • Work with plant engineers to develop efficient processes through cycle time studies, create standard work instructions, and develop training materials

  • Candidates must have completed their second year of studies
  • Currently Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer/Electrical Engineering
  • Technical hands-on experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Manufacturing Environment frequently requires use of foot, ear and eye protection when in production areas
  • High problem-solving skills and self-direction
  • Ability to lift/move up to 25lbs occasionally
  • Programming experience, preferably in VBA, C+, etc
  • Ability to climb, stoop, crouch and crawl
  • Company will not provide sponsorship of position – must be eligible to work in US
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
