Maintenance Technician - GEA - 3rd Shift(Mon-Thur, 9PM-7AM)

Description

• Effectively troubleshoots failures and works in a team environment to determine root cause of failures
• Repairs and maintains plant machinery and equipment such as pumps, motors, and electrical control devices
• Participates in plant safety, health, and environmental programs
• Performs both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production equipment from basic hydraulics to complex CNC machinery
• Utilizes CMMS system to manage work orders and review work history
• Participates in plant shift meetings and continuous improvement activities
• Upgrades and modifies new and existing equipment as needed
• Performs preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment
• Ensures all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities

Requirements

• Experience with PLC and CNC test equipment to include troubleshooting, repairs, PMs, and other world-class maintenance measures
• Must have good mathematical skills, including basic algebra, to calculate electrical/electronic equations as needed
• Able to write detailed repair reports
• Mechatronics degree preferred
• At least five years of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation(s)
• High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate a plus
• Able to read and interpret documents and drawings
• Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture
• Safety Training
• Experience, preferably by formal training, in principles and standards for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment operations
• Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts highly preferred
