The role of the Quality Management Lead is to ensure that project quality requirements are met across the full project life cycle. This includes contract award, design, procurement, manufacturing, testing, shipping, construction or installation, commissioning, and contract close-out.
- Identify needs for supplier audits, engage auditors, and ensure findings are resolved.
- Produce project-specific quality control plans.
- Review, approve, and monitor contractor quality plans.
- Coordinate and improve the review and acceptance of manufacturing documentation and inspection activities.
- Review and assess inspection and test plans submitted by suppliers.
- Support the resolution of non-conformances, including corrective actions.
- Lead reviews of quality records and support strategies for progressive provision of documentation by contractors.
- Ensure deployment of contractual quality requirements, such as general specifications, quality records, release certifications, and inspection and test plans.
- Provide guidance to contractors on quality planning, records management, and quality-related activities.

- A degree, higher education qualification, or equivalent experience in a relevant science or engineering subject.
- Broad experience implementing quality management solutions.
- Experience in project delivery with a strong focus on quality, ideally within complex, safety-critical, or highly regulated industries.
- Reside locally to Bridgwater or be prepared to relocate, as this permanent role does not include travel expense coverage.
- Training & Development, including additional qualifications and accreditations relevant to your role
- Strong knowledge of quality management best practices for large, contract-driven organisations.
- Experience working with project teams and supply chain partners.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve issues with diverse stakeholders in complex environments.
- Skilled in data analysis, reporting, and making recommendations.
- Proven leadership experience in a quality assurance and quality control environment.
