Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Appliance Load Assistant works closely with the Route Driver to fulfill daily appliance pickup appointments, acting as the primary customer contact and ensuring high‑quality service.
The assistant operates in a two‑person crew, assists with navigation and call‑ahead, documents each pickup, tracks performance against key indicators, and uses a mobile routing application to record and report activities while adhering to professional standards.
Successful candidates demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, professional appearance, proficiency with mobile GPS tools, sound safety judgment, and the physical ability to lift 75 lb and handle loads safely; a high school diploma, background check clearance, and willingness to work flexible hours are required.
Preference is given to individuals with prior furniture or appliance delivery experience, several years of customer service, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and familiarity with dispatch or customer‑management databases.
