In this role, you will compile and record employee time and payroll data, assist with preparing, documenting, and disbursing certified payroll, statements of compliance, and fringe benefits, and review union employee timesheets for accuracy and completeness.
- Upload, download, and organize certified payroll and labor compliance documents using LCP Tracker, Elations, and other software.
- Ensure all certified payroll is complete and processed weekly.
- Assist with DIR uploads per project requirements.
- Assist with the timely submission of DAS 140/142 Apprentice documents.
- Assist with monthly document submissions to project owners.
- Communicate with subcontractors regarding certified payroll/labor compliance documents, ensuring inclusion and correction as needed.
- Communicate with employees and/or managers on multiple communication platforms.
- Answer and screen all incoming payroll calls for resolution or transfer to proper channels.
- Prepare periodic status reports needed to release payments to subcontractors.
- Submit and complete all labor compliance documents and requirements for projects.
- Effectively communicate with internal team members and client liaison.
- Manage the scrub dashboard of incoming timesheets for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide backup support to other positions when necessary.
- Maintain strong attention to detail.

Candidates must hold an associate’s degree in business or a related field, have at least three years of certified payroll experience, three-plus years of hands‑on payroll processing, and be familiar with online payroll reporting tools such as LCP Tracker and Elations. A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is desirable.
- Possess excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and make good judgment calls on priorities.
- Show reliability and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Have construction industry experience (a plus).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Benefits
The Payroll Compliance Administrator position is a full‑time, non‑exempt hourly role offering $30‑$35 per hour, dependent on experience. One opening is available for candidates located in Lodi, CA or Fremont, CA.
