Coordinates with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering/ internal and external)
Assists in the production of construction documents under the supervision of a Professional Engineer and coordinate with other disciplines
Assists in pre-design project activities, such as site assessment, site plan review, and verification of as built conditions
Assists project team to find optimum system sizing, routing, materials, and space management for equipment and electrical distribution systems
Assists in performing technical tasks using applicable standards, procedures and codes
Assist in providing technical expertise for studies and design efforts
Assists in developing electrical documents using architectural background layouts and system performance requirements defined by the project team including the architect, engineer and project manager
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
Assists in performing quality control reviews of work developed by others
Assists in development of construction drawings, specifications, details, schedules and diagrams for electrical and lighting systems
Assists senior staff with services during construction, including responding to RFIs, shop drawing and submittal review, and as-built drawings
Assists in developing projects in compliance with engineering codes, standards, principles, relevant specifications and contractual requirements
Assists in performing calculations: power (load, fault, voltage drop, etc.), lighting, feeder sizing, electrical equipment sizing and the like
