  • Perform daily inspections of excavation, compaction, utility installation, concrete placement, and erosion control measures.
  • Coordinate closely with structural, utility, and MEP trades to support work sequencing and avoid rework or delays.
  • Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, and field changes related to site and civil scopes.
  • Develop and manage 3-week lookahead schedules for site development activities.
  • Ensure the safe and timely completion of site scopes in preparation for building construction and vertical trades.
  • Conduct daily safety briefings and toolbox talks with subcontractors.
  • Supervise daily activities of civil subcontractors including excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, concrete foundations, roadwork, stormwater management, and utility installation.
  • Coordinate redlines, as-builts, and closeout documentation for site systems.
  • Ensure work is performed in compliance with project specifications, geotechnical reports, municipal requirements, and permitting conditions.
  • Collaborate with the EHS team to perform site audits and resolve safety issues promptly.
  • Support field testing, third-party inspections, and recordkeeping for QA/QC documentation.
  • Enforce safe work practices including trench safety, traffic control, equipment operations, and stormwater compliance.
  • Track civil progress against milestones and escalate potential impacts to overall project schedule.
  • Interpret civil site plans, grading and drainage drawings, and ensure field execution aligns with design intent.
  • Maintain daily logs documenting manpower, weather, equipment usage, and work progress.

  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
  • Deep understanding of site preparation, earthwork, trenching, utilities, foundations, drainage, and concrete work.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil site plans, survey data, grading and drainage drawings, and utility plans.
  • Knowledge of survey coordination, layout tolerances, and site logistics planning.
  • Experience with SWPPP, erosion and sediment control, and local/state permitting compliance.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in civil/site construction, with 3+ years in a superintendent or field leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing site work for data centers, industrial, or large commercial projects.
  • Practical, results-oriented field leader with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying and addressing field issues.
  • Able to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments and manage multiple crews effectively.
  • Familiarity with digital tools such as Bluebeam, ACC and BIM 360.
