Civil Design Engineer

Description

Our client is looking for a Civil Engineer to join their team in DC Metro office, working on site civil engineering projects in a collaborative environment. This role involves preparing land development construction documents, including roadway, utility, and site design, under the guidance of a Project Manager.

• Research and apply local, state, and federal standards for plan approvals
• Develop site grading designs to optimize earthwork and drainage
• Calculate quantities for construction cost estimates
• Process design documents through regulatory agencies
• Assist with zoning, preliminary, and concept land development plans
• Design erosion & sediment control measures, including stability calculations and best management practices

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience in Maryland or Prince George’s County is a plus
• 5-10 years of experience in civil/site land planning & engineering
• Experience with Microstation and/or AutoCAD
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
