Description

Route and terminate wires in accordance with criteria/standards provided by the signal engineering team.
Help with material handling and shop execution requirements as needed.
Installation of components on the walls of the Bungalow enclosures in the Layout area.
Label and install wires per the electrical schematics or written and verbal descriptions provided per customer specifications.
Provide fabrication, layout, wiring, and packaging for shipment of signaling and other control system projects under the direction of the Wiring Shop Manager or Team Leader.
Acquire a broad understanding of the function, department, and business by cross-training and supporting other roles, as requested

Must show an aptitude to work with hands.
Strong intuitive/cognitive skills
Ability to stand for long intervals on concrete, metal house floor
Ability to kneel or squat
Extensive work with hand tools and crimpers.
High School Diploma or equivalency certificate
Subject to exposure to physical hazards and equipment where special training and safety considerations are required
Minimum of (1) continuing ed course completed per wiring shop curriculum provided.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Subject to potential exposure to noise, vibration, moving equipment, and various environmental conditions such as slippery surfaces, ladders, and step stools.
Basic working knowledge of electrical circuitry (AC and DC) preferred.
Ability to frequently reach 2 feet above shoulders, forward and lateral
Visual and manual dexterity to perform daily functions
Ability to work in both the internal and external environment and be subject to temperature changes
Sound basic mechanical and electrical aptitude a plus
Ability to occasionally grip, torque, or recline
Exposure to point-to-point and troubleshooting wiring issues as required.
Must be able to independently layout or wire per customer plans.
Learn how to read and understand electrical schematics.
