The Learning & Development Training Academy Director leads a multi‑million‑dollar Technology Hub that houses state‑of‑the‑art training, technology research, remote technical support operations, and meeting facilities for both internal and external events. The role reports as the Facility General Manager and is responsible for setting the Technical Research & Support strategy, overseeing daily operations of a world‑class training center, and coordinating marketing, sales, and customer activities.
The position will initially focus on planning, building out, and launching the physical infrastructure of the hub. Ongoing duties include managing training and event operations, facilities management, and directing technical research and support strategies.
- Manage technical infrastructure and coordinate training facility utilization
- Develop and implement a business plan for the Technology Hub, covering utilization metrics, operating costs, and revenue streams
- Partner with Marketing and HR/Recruiting to enhance facility appearance and brand Voltyx to customers and candidates
- Facilitate customer solutions and technical lab initiatives; coordinate customer events with Sales and Operations
- Oversee virtual/remote technical support for field technicians, providing real-time troubleshooting and mentoring
- Lead research and adoption of next‑generation remote support technologies (AR/AI/VR) and disseminate findings across the organization
