HVAC Controls Installer Lead - Low Voltage

Description

• Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices and safety protocols.
• Perform pre-commissioning checks for wiring and installation accuracy.
• Terminate control and communication wiring at BAS controllers and field devices.
• Mount control components securely and accurately.
• Label components and update drawings to reflect as-built conditions.
• Collaborate with electricians and mechanical contractors to ensure system readiness.
• Work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by project schedules.
• Follow OSHA and NEC safety and cabling standards.
• Install low-voltage wiring, sensors, actuators, and control panels per project specifications.
• Lead and supervise installation crews on BAS projects.
• Operate lifts and work at heights up to 40+ feet.

Requirements

• Experienced in terminating and labeling HVAC control wiring in panels and enclosures to meet project standards
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and BAS fundamentals
• This role is based out of the Charlotte, NC area and will require travel throughout the region.
• Proficiency in structured cabling, conduit bending, and low-voltage terminations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Comfortable working with HVAC controls and other low-voltage systems commonly found in commercial buildings
