Under general supervision, the Receiver is responsible for daily receipt of merchandise from vendor trucks. The role includes examining shipments for defects and shortages, recording reasons for returned goods, unloading and moving shipments to storage, and forwarding approved receiving documents to the appropriate department. The Receiver may also provide training to less experienced team members.
