Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or eligibility to obtain it within six months (preferred).
Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering (preferred).
Capability to draft designs in AutoCAD, including retaining walls, levees, embankments, and slope stabilization structures.
Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders such as clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.
Bachelor's degree in civil or geological engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with coursework in geotechnical engineering (required).
Proficiency with geotechnical analysis software for data processing, slope stability assessments, foundation design, and seismic evaluations.
Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for work-related travel (required).
Hands-on experience with subsurface exploration, including drilling, test pits, geophysical methods, and monitoring systems such as inclinometers and groundwater transducers.
Field experience managing geotechnical aspects of construction projects.
Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and remote locations with provided safety equipment and training.
Knowledge or training in foundation design, slope stability, and seismic analysis techniques.
Experience in geotechnical engineering with progressively greater responsibilities.
Minimum of two years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience, or a combination of a master’s degree and professional experience (required).
Clear and professional verbal and written communication abilities.
