The Senior Technical Services Manager will lead the design, coordination, and delivery of all Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) services on commercial fit-out projects within ODCreate, our design and build division. This role is responsible for ensuring that all building services are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance, while adhering to project timelines and budgets.

  • Support business development and client presentations where technical input is required.
  • Oversee MEP scope definition, tender documentation, and procurement strategy.
  • Provide mentorship and technical support to the wider project management and design teams.
  • Advise on new technologies, sustainable building services solutions, and industry best practices.
  • Manage MEP delivery across multiple fit-out projects, ensuring technical excellence, programme adherence, and cost control.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in ODGroup’s technical delivery processes, standards, and documentation.
  • Chair regular coordination and technical review meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Review and validate consultants’ or subcontractors’ designs for compliance, buildability, and efficiency.
  • Ensure all designs meet client brief, statutory regulations, and sustainability standards.
  • Provide technical input during the tendering process and support design development with the internal design team.
  • Lead MEP design coordination during early design and pre-construction stages.
  • Oversee installation quality and ensure systems are fully coordinated with architectural, structural, and interior design elements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key supply chain partners and drive performance through collaboration and accountability.
  • Lead commissioning, testing, and handover processes, ensuring full compliance and system functionality.

This role requires a technically strong leader with hands-on experience in managing complex building services from design through to completion, ensuring technical compliance, coordination, and seamless integration with architectural and interior elements.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring ability.
  • Proven track record in MEP management within the commercial fit-out and design & build environment.
  • Experience leading technical coordination across complex, fast-paced projects.
  • Membership of CIBSE or similar professional body (desirable).
  • Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent understanding of design management, commissioning, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to interpret and critique detailed technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and public health systems, as well as building controls and sustainability principles.
  • Collaborative and solution-focused mindset.
