You will join a project team that designs, modifies, and upgrades electrical systems for new and existing power plants. Working under the Electrical Project Lead, you will collaborate with multi‑disciplinary engineers to develop single‑line, relay and metering, AC and DC schematic, synchronizing, point‑to‑point wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.
The role includes producing electrical wiring drawings, reviewing and incorporating vendor drawings, and supporting field walkdowns and data collection at client sites. The successful candidate must be able to obtain an unescorted access badge for nuclear stations.
Joining the Nuclear Power Group means contributing to clean, carbon‑free energy projects such as small modular reactors, advanced reactor technology, and plant life‑extension initiatives, while upholding a strong safety and sustainability culture.
Qualifications include an associate’s degree in drafting (or a high school diploma with equivalent technical design experience) and at least ten years of detailed wiring design experience on medium‑voltage and 480 V systems. Candidates should be proficient in AutoCAD or MicroStation, familiar with digital control systems, and capable of creating wiring schematics, assisting engineers with design requirements, and communicating effectively with other engineering disciplines.
The position follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring three days per week in the Sargent & Lundy office in Peachtree Corners, GA.
