Description

The Director will oversee day‑to‑day environmental services, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance while managing budgetary constraints, payroll, and performance metrics. Responsibilities include staffing, vendor coordination, preventive schedules, life‑safety training, and responding to maintenance requests, with the ability to prioritize tasks and engage external contractors when needed.

• Manage departmental budgeting, payroll, financials, billing, and KPI reporting.
• Oversee vendor pricing, equipment repairs, and renovation contracts.
• Lead full‑cycle staffing: recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating.
• Ensure compliance with performance standards, coaching, and corrective actions per policy.
• Prioritize and schedule maintenance requests, balancing technician workload via computerized system.
• Conduct life‑safety drills (fire, tornado, bomb threat) and maintain documentation.
• Perform hands‑on maintenance tasks, move‑in preparations, inspections, and record‑keeping as needed.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to support resident care plans.

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or GED, with an associate’s degree preferred, and brings 5‑7 years of maintenance experience, including supervisory roles. Strong communication, interpersonal, and emotional‑intelligence skills are required, along with proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, preventive maintenance, and electronic work‑order systems.
